Despite the enormous advantages that have been achieved and are being achieved every day thanks to information technology at all levels and in various fields of contemporary life; On the other hand, this growing technological revolution was accompanied by a number of serious negative repercussions resulting from the misuse of this advanced technology and deviation from its intended purposes, which manifested itself in the spread of a range of new criminal phenomena, namely: the phenomenon of information crime; Which shows the seriousness of these crimes that affect the right to information and state secrets, which threatens national security, affects national sovereignty, and thus creates an atmosphere of mistrust in society. Information crimes are considered a new phenomenon in the field of crime, and international and regional efforts are being made to combat them, because of their significant impact on the social, economic and political interests of any country. This requires research into ways to protect the information system, especially the information stored in the country’s information systems. Therefore, many countries, through the legal authorities concerned with research in confronting these new phenomena of crime, hastened to search for how to protect these information systems.
