Abstract

The present study aimed at investigating the effects of using the Scamper’s strategy on developing EFL creative writing skills for the second year preparatory stage pupils. The participants of the study were (60) male and female pupils from EL –Manara Preparatory School in Qalubiya Governorate, Egypt. The study adopted the quasi experimental pre- post design of two groups. The researcher designed an EFL creative writing skills test .The experimental group was taught using the Scamper’s strategy,while the control group received regular instruction. The treatment lasted for eight weeks during the first semester of the academic year 2022- 2023.The results revealed that the EFL creative writing skills of the second year preparatory school pupils significantlydeveloped as a result of the implementation of the Scamper’s strategy.Thus, it can be concluded that using the Scamper’s strategy was effective in developing EFL creative writing skills for second year preparatory school pupils.Key Words: Scamper’s Strategy - EFL Creative Writing Skills
