المستخلص

Crafts, Industries and the Artisans were the mainstay of industrial and commercial growth during the Buyid Era. Thus, it led to the prosperity of the state’s economy. Accordingly, this research is for studying the crafts, industries, and the craftsmen including their ethnic composition, economic conditions, forms of craft organization, and its structures that were produced by their reality, as well as their relations with the state and how to control them by what we call it El-Hesba system. In addition to studying their political, economic, social, intellectual roles, and the extent of their influence on the Buyid Society. The Research has been divided into the following:•Preface: It deals with the linguistic and terminological concept of the craft, as well as the development of crafts and industries in the first Abbasid Era.• Chapter One: It represents a descriptive study of the components of industrial activity in the Buyid Era.• Chapter Two: It is concerned with the flourishing of crafts and industries in the Buyid Era.• Chapter Three: It deals with the political role of craftsmen during the Buyid Era.• Chapter Four: It discusses the artisans influence on the prosperity of the economic life.• Chapter Five: It studies the artisans influence on social, constructional and religious life.• Chapter Six: It is concerned with the mindsets of craftsmen (The Cultural Role of Craftsmen). We have concluded that the agricultural and industrial boom in Iraq during Buyid Era has played a great role in practicing a wide-ranging commercial activity, with the human resources as mediators in the internal and external trade.”
