The current study aimed at investigating the effect of using Ubiquitous learning on developing critical listening skills and verbal fluency among first year secondary school students. The participants of the study were sixty (60) first year secondary students. They were assigned into two groups: the experimental group (30 students) and the control group (30 Students). The experimental group studied via Ubiquitous learning, and the control group studied via the usual method of teaching. The researcher used these instruments and tools; “Read and progress” website that was were designed and applied to the experimental group, the student’s handbook, the teacher’s guide, a list of critical listening skills, the critical listening test, as well as a list of verbal fluency skills and a verbal fluency test. The results of the study revealed that Ubiquitous learning in teaching reading was effective in developing critical listening skills and verbal fluency among first year secondary school students (the experimental group) compared to their peers in the control group. Recommendations and suggestions were included at the end of the stud, of which Organizing the curricula of the Arabic language and linking the skills-listening, speaking, reading, writing- with the branches of the Arabic language such as grammar, texts, rhetoric and literature, in light of strategies suitable for technological innovations such as the use of Ubiquitous learning and the implementation of its steps.
