SUMMARY The study of human behavior is the focus of attention of those working in the social sciences, and interest in human behavior arises from the prevailing belief that all that occurs in societies of normal or abnormal social phenomena, favorable or unfavorable, desirable or undesirable, is only a result of human behavior and a reflection of it. Given the great need for the development of the Egyptian countryside through projects that fit the surrounding environment and employ the energies of young people in useful fields, the state is currently giving clear attention to the development and dissemination of small, medium and micro enterprises, as these projects play a vital role in the processes of productive and service development of advanced industrial countries as well as newly industrialized countries and have become an essential pillar of their economies, and the honey bee production project is one of those small projects with relatively simple production costs and a rewarding economic return, and the honey bee breeding activity is one of the important agricultural economic activities leading to increasing income It can be exploited as a side project that does not require dedication, and its products are in great demand, especially after people learn about its medical and nutritional benefits, as they can be saved for a long time, in order to be marketed at the right time, and at the same time they are a source of individual income and national income. The profession of beekeeping is one of the main agricultural professions in many countries of the world, and the importance of honey bees is not limited to its products that we get from bee colonies only, which are classified and used as medicine and food, but extends to preserving human life, and that one of the most prominent wrong practices of honey beekeepers is Not treating the cells for Varroa, Acarine, Nozyma and other brood diseases, not paying attention to the treatment of wasps and bee-eaters, and not sterilizing frames to protect them from worm moths. He also warned against the random or excessive use of chemicals inside the beehive, which is carried out by the beekeeper, thinking that he is protecting his sects from various diseases, pointing out that there is a phenomenon of the disappearance or collapse of bee sects in most countries of the world that appeared during the last two decades and led to the loss of honey bee sects exceeding 50% in some areas, and he said that the most severe and dangerous enemies of bees is the ignorant beekeeper that destroys the bees and this profession with its wrong practices. The study was conducted in Qalyoubia governorate as one of the largest governorates of honey producing, a random sample of honey producers was selected amounted to 170 respondents.Data were collected using personal interview with respondents by pre-tested questionnaire during November and December of 2022. Frequencies, percentages, mean and standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, and step-wise Multiple correlation and regression were used to data analysis by computer using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS).Objectives of the study1-Identifying some of the distinctive personal characteristics of honey beekeepers.2- Determining the cognitive, directional and applied level related to the recommendations of bee disease control among beekeepers in Qalyubia Governorate.3- Identifying the knowledge, directional and application gap related to the recommendations of bee disease control among beekeepers in Qalyubia Governorate.4- Determining the optimal learning method that agricultural extension can use to modify unwanted cognitive and applied behavior of honey beekeepers related to disease resistance.5- Determining the relationship between the behavior of the beekeeper in its different dimensions (Cognitive – Directional – Applied) as dependent variables and each of the following independent variables: The degree of education, the degree of experience in honey bee production, the degree of profession practice, the number of hives in the apiary, the average hive production of honey per year, the degree of orientation towards innovations in the field of honey bee production, the degree of opinion leadership, the degree of motivation for achievement, the degree of obtaining information from social media, the degree of availability of apiary supplies in the region, the degree of availability of training places for setting up honey bee projects, the degree of availability of loans and assistance from local units and local community development associations, with determining the percentage of contribution of each of the independent variables related to the moral correlation with the behavior of honey beekeepers with its three components in explaining the total variance explained for each of them.6-Developing a proposal for an action plan to modify the cognitive and applied behavior related to how to combat and treat diseases among honey bee breeders in Qalyubia Governorate. The most important results of the study were:1- The results showed that 23.5% of the respondents fall into the category of those with low knowledge of technical recommendations related to disease resistance, 41.8% of them fall into the category of those with medium knowledge, and 34.7% of them fall into the category of those with high knowledge, and these results indicate that 65.3% of the respondents were with low and medium knowledge of Information items on disease control.2- The results also showed that 37.1% of the respondents fall into the category of those with low application of technical recommendations related to disease resistance,52.3% of them fall into the category of those with medium application, and 10.6% of them fall into the category of those with high application, that is, the majority of the respondents 89.4% had medium to low application. It became clear from the results that 15.9% of the respondents fall into the category of negative trend, 17.6% of them fall into the category of neutral trend, and 66.5% of them fall into the category of positive trend, and these results indicate that 84.1% of the respondents were with a neutral and positive attitude towards disease control. The results showed that 21.18% of the respondents fall into the category of low behavior, 60.59% fall into the category of medium behavior, 18.23% fall into the category of high behavior, and these results indicate that 81.77% of the respondents were low and medium behavior for information items on control to honey bee diseases.5- The results showed that there is a significant relationship at the level of 0.01 between the degree of behavior of beekeepers related to disease control and each of the following variables: the degree of age, experience in honey production, the average hive production of honey per year, the degree of orientation towards innovations in honey production, the degree of motivation for achievement, the degree of availability of loans and aid from local units and local community development associations, and the presence of a significant relationship at a significant level of 0.05 with each of education, the degree of leadership.6- The results also showed that the percentage of the contribution of the studied independent variables combined in explaining the total variance in the degree of behavior of the respondents, honeybee breeders, in the total variance explained by it, where it was found that four variables can be maintained that contribute to the interpretation of the total variance among the eight independent variables that have a significant correlation with the degree of behavior. The percentage of the contribution of these variables in explaining the total variance in the degree of total behavior of the honey bee breeder was significant at the level of 0.01 and that the percentage of their contribution combined together is 98%, of which 96.5% is attributed to the degree of trend towards innovations. , 1.1% to the degree of average cell production, 0.3% to the age, 0.1% to the degree of availability of loans and aid from local units and community development associations.7- The results showed that the most repeated learning methods of the researchers for combined disease resistance practices are: The method of giving you a monetary reward when implementing the desired behavior by 27,94%, which follows the functional theories ( Clark Hill and Skinner), the method of giving you an opportunity to experience this behavior yourself in the apiary by 25,25%, which follows the theory of learning by trial and error of Thorndike, the method of doing an experiment in front of you to demonstrate how to do the desired behavior by 23,24%, which follows the modeling theory of Albert Pandora, and the method of seeing your neighbors implement the desired behavior by 15,28%, which also follows the modeling theory of Albert Bandura, and the method of providing all the necessary production requirements to implement the behavior, and you choose the appropriate method for you to implement it by 4,82%, which is It follows the theory of gestalt (clairvoyant learning), the method of obtaining a certificate of appreciation when implementing the desired behavior by 3.44%, and it also follows the functional theories (Clark Hill and Skinner).
