Abstract
The study revealed the presence of five diseases infecting honeybee colonies in Upper Egypt.
Honey bee diseases have significantly negative impact on honey bee activity and productivity.
Climatic factors have different affect on the spread and distribution of the diseases and mite according to Geographical distribution.
Results concluded that silver nano particles with concentrations 25 ppm and Lugolsiod with concentrations 10 PPM can be protect bee colonies from nosema disease when colonies treated with their concentrations mixed with sugar solutions as drops on bees and combs each three days intervals through two months. And can be used as good elements in Nosema diseases management in bee colonies while they gave 100% spore reduction and good selectivity against bee workers and the colonies treated with them showed high increase % in activity and productivity of bees.
It evident that while these treatments were effective in control nosema disease, they cannot be depended upon to do the same for management of varroa mite, necessitating the creation of a specific integrated management strategy for varroa mite.
