Abstract
This thesis includes four parts: Part І: Introduction This part consists of three chapters; chapter 1 includes hypertension definition, sorting of antihypertensive drugs and benefits of fixed dose combination, chapter 2 includes the analytical methods used in this thesis for multicomponent analysis, chapter 3 contains physicochemical properties, structures and review of literature of the studied drugs. Part ІІ: Analysis of amlodipine besylate and metoprolol succinate in fixed dose combination by different spectrophotometric methods This part contains two chapters; chapter 1 includes benefits and review literature of amlodipine besaylate and metoprolol succinate fixed dose combination, chapter 2 includes the developed spectrophotometric methods for simultaneous determination of amlodipine besylate (AML) and metoprolol succinate (MET). These methods are direct spectrophotometric method, Isoabsorptive point, Dual wavelength, Ratio Subtraction Method (RSM) and Extended Ratio Subtraction Method (ERSM) and Area under the curve method. Part ІІІ: Spectrophotometric determination of Olmesartan Medoxomil and Amlodipine Besylate in fixed dose combination This part involves two chapters; chapter 1 includes benefits of OLM and amlodipine besylate fixed dose combination and review of literature for simultaneous determination of OLM and AML in combined dosage form, chapter 2 contains validated methods for OLM and AML simultaneous determination without prior separation these methods are; Absorption subtraction method (ASM), Ratio subtraction method (RSM) paired with extended ratio subtraction method (ERSM), dual wavelength method and second order derivative (2D) spectrophotometric method. Part Ⅳ: Different Analytical methods for simultaneous determination of metoprolol succinate and olmesartan medoxomil This part arguments three chapters: chapter 1 where Olmesartan Medoxomil and Metoprolol succinate fixed dosage form profits and Review of literature for simultaneous determination of the two drugs together were argued , chapter 2 involves the development of spectrofluorimetric method (first derivative synchronous fluorescence) for simultaneous determination of MET and OLM in their fixed dosage form and spiked human plasma , chapter 3 involves the development of spectrophotometric methods for simultaneous determination of MET and OLM in their tablet by area under the curve (AUC) and ratio difference spectrophotometric method.
