Sport is a physical effort carried out by the human individual with the aim of entertainment, competition, distinction, enhancing self-confidence, or obtaining important benefits on the individual’s physical and mental health, and other benefits that accrue to him.
The sports organization is a well-thought-out system with a coherent structure that includes individuals and groups that possess special skills and talents in the field of providing services related to sports activity and competitions, and they work together to achieve a common set of goals efficiently and effectively, and he adds that the workplace of the sports industry has become more complex due to the sudden increase in the staff In sports institutions and the diversity of the individuals working in them, where the staff of sports institutions consists of a variety of part-time employees, volunteers, full-time workers and non-professional workers, and this diversity called for the presence of managers with leadership talents and skills in dealing with individuals in the workplace.Sports clubs are considered one of the private sports institutions in which administrative thought diversifies and develops, due to a number of reasons, the most important of which is the change in the boards of directors, the change in practical experiences for different sports, and the diversity of the competitive environment. A competitive atmosphere with each other is rapidly changing and competing, and therefore these clubs must adopt a set of concepts and strategies that help excel in their performance and solve their problems that will achieve the desired results, and this leads to success.Sports clubs are considered the backbone of which civil sports institutions are made up, and any sports organization cannot reap its benefits unless it is properly organized by sports clubs that enable it to perform its sports and educational mission to the fullest. The sports club is no longer just a spacious place for entertainment and killing time, nor is it just A place that includes a number of players registered in sports federations just to compete to win and win cups and medals, but the sports club in our time has become a deeper message that it must achieve and a greater goal that it must reach. Sports clubs are the practical means for preparing youth, caring for youth and applying modern sports philosophy based on social principles Sound, and this can only be achieved if a policy is drawn up and its programs are planned on a sound basis.Management in the sports institution is directing all efforts within the sports body to achieve its goals, and that the administrative function in the sports institution, whatever its level in style or method, its goal is to achieve certain tasks with the best possible degree of efficiency, and it is noted that achieving job tasks is done through making a change in The method of administrators within the sports institution and the improvement of their competencies, skills and capabilities within the framework of modernizing an element of the administration or its operations, with the aim of achieving the highest interest of the Authority.
Workers in sports institutions, including sports clubs, need job security and the provision of an appropriate organizational climate in order to achieve their required goals. Also, workers are reassured about their future and their sense of a great degree of job security whenever it has the best impact on carrying out his duties effectively.One of the positive effects of administrative performance is job security. The greater the degree of security, the greater the efficiency and effectiveness of performing tasks, and thus the institution’s efficiency and effectiveness increases. Management is the main tool through which the goals it seeks to achieve are achieved, and it bears the responsibility of directing human efforts according to specific methods And clear in order to reach outstanding performance, and from here the management in the institution meets with the general framework of the administrative process, and it cares about human resources and takes into account their interests and works to satisfy their needs and desires, and encourages workers to develop and change permanently to achieve professional growth and job performance, and this matter is directly related to a wide range of variables Organizational, which in turn affects the success and development of organizations and their ability to achieve their goals efficiently and effectively, and their importance will increase greatly in the future due to the organizations’ tendency towards open relationships.Job security is the prevailing situation in an institution in which the administrator enjoys a kind of safety in continuing his work, diminishing the possibility of terminating his services, raising the degree of reassurance of the administrator in his future, and ending all forms of anxiety about that future.
Job security is a guarantee for the employee’s continuity in work due to the general economic conditions in the country, and it also has a general impact on the performance of the team and the performance of the organization. He is more likely to enjoy high job security, and he is more likely to perform his task effectively, and this is reflected in the overall performance of the organization. The dimensions of job security are: (psychological dimension - material - relationships - job burden).The researcher believes that achieving job security in sports clubs enables workers to achieve excellence by achieving employee satisfaction, raising their morale, and improving the quality of services provided. Routine to achieve administrative excellence.
And leadership is one of the important issues in the field of sports management and sports clubs, and it is a process of influencing the activities of subordinates in order to achieve some goals. from this definition, we notice that individuals give up some of their freedoms in decision-making for the purpose of achieving goals: so it can be said that the sports coach is considered a leader of the team During the matches, and that it influences the team’s activity, through physical and tactical exercises, in order to achieve a specific goal, such as winning the championship, for example, or in a specific match, so the players waive some of their freedoms in decision-making in order to achieve the goals, and this work is compared to the previous definition It is nothing but the driving process itself.
The leaders of sports clubs are the ones responsible for facilitating tasks and achieving results through work teams that make them distinguished and superior to other competing institutions.
Leadership is one of the most influential processes on behavior, as it affects the motivation of individuals, their attitudes, and their satisfaction with work, and it is a major focus of the relationship between the individual and the group. The leader usually provides the group with the means that help them satisfy their needs and achieve their goals, and in return, the subordinates accept and appreciate his views and accomplish the work in the fastest time and in the best way.
The concept of servant leadership is not a new concept, but it can be traced back to the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, on the authority of Anas Ibn Malik who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: The master of the people is their servant.The importance of servant leadership lies in the fact that it meets the professional needs of workers and responds to their desires, grants them the powers and authorities necessary to carry out their job duties, provides them with opportunities to participate in decision-making, encourages them to put forward initiatives, creativity and innovation at work, and provides them with a safe, attractive, supportive and encouraging environment, and supports them with a spirit of work. The team is in all fields and areas of the educational process, and this reflects positively on their behavior, so they are more active, committed, loyal and organizational in the work environment.Although the word servant may have negative connotations, the practical reality indicates that it can be used to refer to work in order to provide something to another. It is the interest of the organization, and the dimensions of servant leadership are: (altruism - empowerment - emotional support - persuasion - showing originality).Research problem :The reason for the backwardness of sports is not a lack of material capabilities, facilities, or bodies, or a shortage of workers (managers - administrators - supervisors - coaches - players - doctors - workers), but the shortage is mainly due to a backwardness in sports management in quantity and quality. Effective management represented by leaders Those in charge of work are able to obtain capital, and are able to build facilities and obtain capabilities or employ and use the existing ones, and most importantly they are able to choose human resources (coaches - administrators - supervisors - players - doctors) who are able to implement the plans set efficiently, Effective leadership is also able to be a collaborative force for sporting progress.Swimming coaches in sports clubs face many competitions imposed on them by the variables of the labor market, which require them to develop their capabilities to deal with many variable elements from the management of the club - parents - players. Therefore, they must develop the elements of servant leadership themselves in order to achieve the goals set for them and achieve job security in Sports clubs.Job security is also considered one of the recent variables that have not been studied by academics in the field of sports. Therefore, the researcher will try to identify the impact of the practice of servant leadership on job security in sports clubs.This is confirmed by the results of the study of Karim Muhammad Al-Hakim (2019 AD) , Muhammad Thabet Hamdan (2018 AD) , and Muhammad Abdul Rahman Saleh (2019 AD) , where the most important results indicated:• The level of estimation of the servant leadership variable in the research sample was medium - the variable after persuasion got the highest estimate in the servant leadership, while the variable after empowerment got the lowest - the level of estimation for the organizational excellence variable in the research sample was medium.• The lack of successful leadership of the departments in the swimming pools, which led to the lack of discipline of many workers in working hours, their frequent absenteeism, low morale, and the negligence, shortcomings, and laziness of the workers in some of their administrative and non-administrative work inside the swimming pools.•The university administration is not keen on satisfying the needs of its individuals - the university adopts fixed incentive systems to sponsor students - the salary is not commensurate with the high cost of living rates and thus affects the failure to fully achieve job security for specialists under student sponsorship.Through reference research and review of reference studies and what could be reached, the researcher did not find studies that dealt with determining the impact of the practice of servant leadership on job security in sports clubs.Research objective: The research aims to determine the effect of practicing servant leadership on job security for swimming coaches in sports clubs.Research hypotheses:1. Swimming coaches in sports clubs practice servant leadership.2. Swimming coaches in sports clubs feel job security.3.There is nature of the relationship between the level of servant leadership practice and job security for swimming coaches in sports clubs.4.There are dimensions of the practice of servant leadership that affect the job security of swimming coaches in sports clubs.Search terms:1.Servant leadership: A style of leadership that emphasizes empowering the staff, helping them to grow self-growth, providing them with continuous professional development, meeting their needs and demands, and putting the interest of others before personal interest.2. Job security: It is the employee’s sense of reassurance about the source of income and his stability at work, and that he will not be exposed to organizational and personal conflicts and work pressures.3.Sports Clubs: A sports organization formed by a group of natural or legal persons equipped with buildings, playgrounds and capabilities to spread sports practice.Search procedures the research method: The researcher used the descriptive method (survey method) with its steps and procedures.Research community: The research community is determined by swimming coaches in sports clubs in the Arab Republic of Egypt.Basic Research Sample: The researcher selected the research sample randomly, and the sample size to which the questionnaire was applied was (598) swimming coaches in the Arab Republic of Egypt.Research data collection tools: In light of the results of the theoretical readings and reference studies, and according to the research requirements, the researcher used the following tools in collecting data, namely: (an electronic questionnaire about the servant leadership of swimming coaches in sports clubs - an electronic questionnaire about job security for swimming coaches in sports clubs) Researcher preparation.
Exploratory study: The researcher applied the research tools by distributing the questionnaire forms electronically to a rationing sample of (50) swimming coaches in sports clubs from outside the basic study sample and from within the research community in the period from (4/8/2022 AD) to (21/8/2022 AD), and aimed at identifying the extent of clarity and appropriateness of wording for the level of understanding of the sample and conducting scientific transactions, and its results showed the clarity of the instructions for data collection tools, and the appropriate wording of vocabulary for the level of understanding of the sample, and the scientific transactions were conducted to find the validity and reliability of the two questionnaires.Basic study: The researcher conducted a basic study through the electronic application of the servant leadership questionnaire for swimming trainers in sports clubs and the job security questionnaire for swimming trainers in the Arab Republic of Egypt. And that was in the period from (9/10/2022 AD) to (10/29/2022 AD), then the researcher monitored and tabulated the raw scores and prepared them for statistical treatment according to the correction key prepared for that.The statistical methods used in the research: The statistical treatments and treatments used for the research data were done using the statistical program, the statistical package for social sciences Spss, the twentieth version, and the following were used: (arithmetic mean - standard deviation - percentage - Pearson’s correlation coefficient - Cronbach’s alpha coefficient - Spearman Brown equation - Guttmann’s equation - chi-squared (ka2) equation.
Conclusions: In light of the results of the study, the researcher reached the following conclusions:1.The opinions of other swimming coaches are taken to develop an accurate perception of the strengths and weaknesses.2. A future vision of club swim coaches is developed to accomplish the required work.3.Swimming coaches feel proud and belong to the club.4.Swimming coaches are keen to perform the job tasks accurately.5.The job loads are commensurate between two swimming coaches at the same level.6.There is no sufficient health insurance system for swimming instructors.7.There is a positive, statistically significant correlation at the level (0.05) between servant leadership with its axes (vision, trust, communication, empowerment, humility, altruism, showing honesty, decision-making) and job security with its axes (psychological security, job security, physical security, safety relations).8.There is a statistically significant positive correlation at the level (0.05) between the total degree of self-driving and job security in its aspects.9.The value of (q) calculated for the servant leadership questionnaire and the job security questionnaire is less than the tabular one (2.37), which shows a non-statistically significant variation in the club type variable.10. The value of (q) calculated for the servant leadership questionnaire and the job security questionnaire is less than the tabular one (2.37), which shows a non-statistically significant variation in the years of experience variable.Recommendations:1. Work on implementing training programs for swimming coaches to develop their skills and knowledge about the dimensions of servant leadership.2.Emphasizing the importance of instilling an organizational culture that supports continuity of leadership for swimming coaches.3. Encouraging swimming coaches to practice servant leadership, taking into account increasing the degree of practice to describe the advantages and admit mistakes.
4. Providing customized training programs that help swimming coaches in sports clubs to complete their work in the right way and raise the level of performance.5.Providing better health, therapeutic and educational services for children of swimming coaches in sports clubs.
6. Distribution of duties and powers in a manner with the capabilities, skills and qualifications of swimming coaches in sports clubs.7. Enable swimming coaches in sports clubs to participate in setting career paths.
