The aim of this research is to shed light on the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy and plastic values and aesthetic values of Arabic calligraphy, and the researcher has done a study on the definition of Arabic calligraphy, its origin, development and types of Arabic calligraphy, as well as clarify the plastic components that characterize Arabic calligraphy and the research is also based on the study of the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy and the value of plastic, expressive and spiritual art, as the research was interested in shedding light on the work of some Arab sculptors and Foreigners who dealt with Arabic calligraphy and its aesthetics in their sculptures. The researcher divided this research into six chapters as follows:
Chapter One: ”General framework of research”
Includes the background of the research, the research problem, the importance of the research, the objectives of the research, the hypotheses of the research, the limits of the research, the research methodology, the search terms and related studies.
Chapter Two: ”Arabic calligraphy between diversity and history”
The chapter includes a definition of Arabic calligraphy, its origin and development, and it was divided into two axes as follows:
 The first axis: types of Arabic calligraphy (Kufic script, Naskhi script, Thuluth script, Ruq’ah script, Persian calligraphy, Diwani script, Ijazah line, Tughra script, Moroccan calligraphy and free calligraphy).
 The second axis: the plastic components of Arabic calligraphy, and those components (tide, numerator, warping, rubber, compressibility of the letter, distortion, entanglement and overlap, multiplicity of the shape of one letter, movement, modifiability, whiteness, filling the space, repeatability and bifurcation).
Chapter Three: ”The aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy and its plastic values between heritage and contemporary”
The chapter includes the concept of Arabic calligraphy as a plastic art and a study of Arabic calligraphy between heritage and contemporary, as well as emphasizing the plastic and aesthetic values of Arabic calligraphy, which have been divided as follows: The plastic values of Arabic calligraphy, which are (balance, rhythm, proportion and unity) The aesthetic values of Arabic calligraphy, which are (building the artistic composition, occupying the work surface).
The relationship of form to space and energy resulting from the movement of form in space) with clarification of the artistic relations that control the structural logic of Arabic calligraphy as a plastic vocabulary, as well as the spiritual aspect of Arabic calligraphy and finally the expressive values of Arabic calligraphy.
Chapter Four: ”Extracting the plastic components and artistic and aesthetic values of Arabic calligraphy through the analysis of the artworks of some Arab and foreign sculptors”
Includes the impact of Arabic calligraphy on the works of some Arab and foreign artists and analyzing the works of artists by clarifying the plastic components and artistic and aesthetic values in their sculptural works.
Chapter Five: ”Search Applications”
Includes the applications of the researcher.
Chapter Six:
It contains findings, recommendations and a list of references.
