Abstract
The main objective of this study is to investigate the effect of using reciprocal teaching strategy based on communicative approach in the development of English oral communication skills of secondary stage students. The participants of the study consist of 30 students as experimental group. The experiment lasted for three months in the second semester of the school year 2012 / 2013. The instruments are a checklist of oral communication skills both speaking and listening and pre - post oral communication skills test. Reliability and validity of the instruments are verified. The findings of the study reveal that Reciprocal Teaching strategy based on communicative approach has positive effect in developing students’ oral communication skills both listening and speaking
