Abstract

The aim of this study was evaluate the shear bond strength between zirconia based restorations and two different intraoral composite repair systems. A total of 30 all ceramic disc samples were constructed. They were classified into three main groups ({u04C0}, {u04C0}{u04C0} and {u04C0}{u04C0}{u04C0} ) according to the type of ceramic material used. G {u04C0}: samples of zirconia based ceramic.G {u04C0}{u04C0} Zirconia sampels veneered with Feldspathic porcelain. G{u04C0}{u04C0}{u04C0}: Zirconia sampels veneered with Nano- fluorapetite porcelain. The samples in each main group were randomly further subdivided into two equal subgroups of 5 samples each, according to type of repair system to be tested, Subgroup A: Ceramic repair using clear fil repair multipurpose system. Subgroup B: Ceramic repair using Cimara repair system. the samples were stored in distilled water at room temperature 37{u02DA} C for 24 hours before shear bond strength testing to stimulated of the same oral temperature. show that the Zirconia sampels veneered with Nano - fluorapetite porcelain showed highest bond strength regarding ceramic type. Cimara showed statistically significantly higher mean shear bond strength than clear Fil. The shear bond strength of ceramic/ repair composite used was significantly different depending on microstructure, composition and properties of the ceramic as well as different surface treatments of the ceramic repair systems
