The convergence between TV drama and semiotics lies upon the idea of multiple and layered dramatic significations which can be best understood by the connection between denotative and connotative meanings, where the audience role begins in interpreting these significations, and creating new meanings give the TV series a wider semantic and dramatic scope, thus, the recent study aims to discuss signs of Egyptian TV drama Series elements, discovering how the dramatic signs create meaning in TV screen, it also attempts to explore the impact of technological evolution and production budgets soaring on television dramatic signs, and the impact of allegories on the structure of dramatic narrative and characters, it also seeks to discuss characteristics and problematic of Egyptian TV drama signs. The study adopted the descriptive method, applying semiotic analysis to the Egyptian television drama; for the importance of semiology in revealing the various significations such as: Symbols, indexes and icons the TV drama may broadcast and affecting audiences in every way. The sample included two Egyptian TV series: Al Helmeya nights (1987) and Wannous (2016(. The findings showed that Egyptian tv drama series signs are characterized by: semiotic shift, generative capacity, connotation, furthermore, it has Semantic plot, as well as Semantic and interpretive argument, Yet it is fraught with semantic problematics such as: Semiotic overload, semantic noise, sign repetition and verbal code disclose, the study also revealed that the best way to create an allegory is to create it within a symbol web, in which each symbol helps define the others, it also showed that the technological evolution has big impact on the quality of signs produced by Egyptian TV drama, such as the impact of aspect ratio that shifted from 3:4 to 9:16 on the spatial signs; moving from deep staging to planar staging, the focus also shifted from character movement signs to camera movement signs, it has been helped by the technological evolution of TV cameras and lenses.
