The Study aimed to present a set of proposed mechanisms for managing university work pressures, in a way that contributes to stimulating administrative creativity among the administrative leaders at Sohag University.
The researcher used the descriptive approach in order to suit the nature of the research. The researcher also used the descriptive statistical method to address the results of the field framework, and a questionnaire was prepared consisting of two axes:
The first questionnaire is related to work pressures and consists of (48) phrases, with the aim of identifying the sources of work stress among the administrative leaders at Sohag University.
The second questionnaire is related to administrative creativity and consists of (40) phrases, with the aim of identifying the reality of applying the elements of administrative creativity among the administrative leaders at Sohag University, and revealing the relationship between work pressures and administrative creativity among the administrative leaders at Sohag University.
Because of the nature of the research, the researcher chose a random sample, and the number of sample members reached (124) faculties’ trustees, directors of faculties’ administrations, general managers of the central administration, directors of units of a special nature at Sohag University.
The search results resulted in:
The multiplicity of sources of work stress among the administrative leaders at Sohag University, including: taking full responsibility for any errors that occur, lack of material and technological equipment in workplaces, multitasking and duties, difficulty reconciling work requirements with workers’ demands, feeling tired due to the abundance and diversity of administrative work, inability to focus when Decision-making due to the large number of administrative burdens, the powers granted to the leaders are not commensurate with their responsibilities and duties, the lack of material and moral appreciation for the tasks and responsibilities of the administrative leaders.
The elements of administrative creativity represented in the ability to originality, fluency, flexibility, sensitivity to problems and risk, the ability to analyze, link, maintain direction, or focus attention and deviate from the norm are available to the administrative leaders at Sohag University.
Work pressures negatively affect the administrative creativity of the administrative leaders at Sohag University, as it affects the psychological and mental state of the administrative leaders, which weakens their ability to think and thus decreases their level of creativity.
