Abstract
Austenite stainless steel industry in the nuclear domain still
needs further progress for better performance, quality and safety
for being the major construction nuclear materials of different
components of nuclear reactors like pressurized water reactors
(PWR) and boiled water reactors (BWR). For example,
AISI304 is used as steam dryer in the primary circuit of
pressurized water reactors and AISI316 is used as control rod
safe end of boiled water reactors.
