Abstract

The present study carried out in the laboratory of Genetics, Department of Agricultural Botany, Faculty of Agriculture, Suez Canal University, Egypt, in cooperation with laboratory of Biotechnology, Institute of Biotechnology for Post Graduate, Suez Canal University and Central Laboratories of Cairo University. In addition, laboratory of Faculty of Engineering, Port Said University, Egypt, during the period from 2016 to 2019.In order to achieve the following objectives:-
1-Molecular characterization analysis and informative of the simple sequence repeats (SSRs) loci used to help and serve in the construction of the molecular genetic data base for Egyptian Jatropha germplasm.
For more economic benefits, especially the Jatropha plant was recorded as a new biofuel crop in addition to its multiple medical benefits. So it is very important help provide the conservation and protection of these genotypes to the future strategic planning. Hence, one of the goals of the current study is to.
2- Analysis of the DNA fingerprinting data for identification and discrimination of some Egyptian Jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.) genotypes using SSR markers.
3- Study of genetic diversity level and relationships among some Jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.) genotypes grown in Egypt, for their importance in breeding and genetic improvement programs.
4- Study and analysis of some genetic loci associated with unsaturated fatty acids genes.
5- Measuring the concentration of unsaturated fatty acids in Jatropha samples oil as biofuel.
6- Evaluation of the efficiency of Egyptian Jatropha oil as an ideal biofuel by estimating physicochemical properties.
7 –Experimenting effect of Egyptian Jatropha seeds extract on the resistance of cellular imbalance (human breast cancer cell).
In this study, ten of Egyptian Jatropha (Jatropha curcasL.) genotypes were selected from aprevious experience located in orchard of Agricultural Research Station in Ismailia Governorate, Egypt. In addition,12 of simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers or microsatellite were chosen to perform these aims.
The obtained results could be summarized as the following:-
Firstly: with regard to molecular characterization and informative of
SSR markers
