Abstract
The aim of this study was to compare the effect of ultrasound cavitation and cryolipolysis on localized abdominal fat. Materials and methods. This randomized controlled clinical trial was done on 90 patients participated in this study, their ages ranged from (25 to 45 years), they all suffer from abdominal obesity (BMI was >25 kg/m2) more than 25 and less than 40. This study was conducted during period from September 2019 to May 2021 in the Outpatient Clinic of Rheumatology and Rehabilitation of Mansoura General Hospital to investigate the effect of cryolipolysis versus ultrasound cavitation on abdominal subcutaneous adipose tissue. Results: Patients enrolled in current study demonstrated significant fat reduction in their treated area . At each of the follow-up visits, and at the 3 months follow-up, investigator and subject satisfaction decreased with time. Conclusions: Several studies have shown that these three modalities, used separately, reduce fat deposits. We proposed that a combination of these modalities may be more effective.
