The aim of the current research is to identify the effectiveness of a program based on a problem-solving strategy to develop some critical thinking skills for a kindergarten child in Jordan in light of the recent trends. The research tools consisted of critical thinking scale, and the research sample consisted of (30) children divided into two groups - the first one was an experimental which consisted of (15) children, and the second was a control group, which consisted of (15) children. The results of the research concluded that: 1. There was a statistically significant difference at the level of ≤ (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post application of the critical thinking scale for the experimental group. 2.There was a statistically significant difference at the level of ≤ (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group in the two applications, the pre and the post, in the critical thinking scale for the post application.
