المستخلص

The study aimed to identify the extent of the impact of post-university education in increasing the phenomenon of delaying the age of marriage and try to monitor the nature of this role. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire form and a case study guide were used to collect data from the respondents. The study also relied on the descriptive and analytical approach. Also, the functional constructivist theory was relied on in the theoretical orientation of the study. The research community, using the questionnaire form, consisted of (401) respondents, while the number of respondents was (10) items in the case study guide from graduate students at Mansoura University, and the study reached a set of results, the most prominent of which were: 1- The high costs and demands of marriage that are socially unacceptable play an important role in delaying the age of marriage for young people, rather the reluctance of many of them to marry or prefer to marry foreign women in order to avoid bearing these costs or to escape from them. 2- There is a direct and strong relationship between young people continuing to complete post-university education and the desire to obtain the highest academic degrees and their delay in the age of marriage. 3- The media play a role in the delay in the age of marriage among young people, through what they broadcast from informational materials about a life partner that are not in reality and are a reason for the reluctance of many young people to marry or their delay in the age of marriage.
