المستخلص Objectives of the study The current study aims to: • Carry out environmental analysis of the conditions that influence pre-university education stages to achieve quality in Sohag Governorate. • Identify the obstacles that handicap the implementation of self- assessment tools and school improvement plans in pre-university education stages in Sohag Governorate. • Provide a proposed design to face the obstacles that handicap the implementation and activation of self- assessment tools and school improvement plans in pre-university education stages to achieve quality in Sohag Governorate Recommendations: The researcher presents several recommendations in the light of the obstacles of self-assessment application and the plans of school improvement at the stages of Pre-university education to achieve quality and develop them in Egypt as follows: 1. The employees’ participation in suggesting the required training courses to fulfill their needs. 2. The Parents’ participation in the processes of self-assessment prepared inside the school. 3. Studying the school actual needs to contribute in developing the educational process. 4. The ministry should have criteria and policies in the fields of education, scientific research, and serving community achieving aims, goals, and vision. 5. The ministry should have sufficient financial accreditations covering the schools’ needs. 6. Developing self resources through realistic plan prepared by the school. 7. The school should fulfill the needs of student community. 8. There must be internal faith in the importance of applying the self-assessment tools and the plans of school improvement inside schools. 9. Activating the improvement plans actually inside the school. 10. Studying the accredited experiments of schools and benefiting from them in the unaccredited schools. 11. The necessity of appointing school directors who are ware of applying the quality concepts in the schools and they should be selected by giving competitive tests. 12. Committing to visibility principle in publishing all the information and data concerning school affairs and inform it to all people working in the school. |
