Abstract
In conclusion, the present study suggests that Sargassum latifolium may have ameliorative effect on tramadol-mediated testicular toxicity and sperm abnormalities. This effect can be attributed to its antioxidant properties and its ability to modulate apoptotic signaling pathways by downregulating testicular oxidative stress via upregulating the expression of antioxidant enzymes. These activities of Sargassum latifolium appoint to prospective studies regarding the usage of Sargassum latifolium antioxidant potency at other disorders.
