Abstract

Gabal El-Delihimmi constitutes a multiphase granitoid pluton which classified from south to north into biotite, potash feldspar and muscovite granites. Geochemically, different granitoid phases share some features and distinctly vary in others. The Quaternary deposits in the studied area are represented by transported deposits and the residual sediments. These sediments are probably sources of the dispersion aureoles of any ore metals related to mineralization. Lithogeochemical maps were performed to show the dispersion of metals in tributaries of Wadi El Sherm El-Qibli and Khor Abu-Mureiwa. The common rare metals anomalous concentrations are U, Th, Zr, Nb, Y, Ce, Nd, Ba, Mo, W and Mn. However, La, Dy, Zn, Hf, Pr, Gd, Er, Cr, Rb, Sr, V, Cs, Sm and Sc present in variably economically concentration. Zircon, apatite, monazite, rutile, micas, garent, epidote magnetite and ilmenite are the main source of these elements.
