المستخلص
agricultural policies in Egypt are concerned with increasing [he production of food crops especially with cereals and broad beans
this study tries to show how better allocation of resources will ielp to increase production of these crops
the study used quantitative analysis to test the efficiency of igricultural resources in the production of grain crops in )ayrout county Assiut Governorate.
Random sample of 263 farmers who produce these crops’ were ;elected from Dayrout county according to three sizes of farms, size No.1 (less than one feddan ),size No.2 (from one to lese han three feddans) and size No.3 (more than three feddans) Some of those farmers are owners and others are leases - or farm sizes,
the study used statistical tools like analysis of Variance, (L.s.n) egression analysis, stepwise and marginal analysis to derive Droduction and cost functions . The study consists of three Dhapters plus the introduction and summary.
the first chapter is concerned with production of corn
the study has found that production per feddan of corn in farm ize No.3 is the most profitable and resources are used fficient1y. At the same time there are no differences in pro[itability and efficiency in utilizing resources per feddan in both Dwned and leased farms
