Abstract The present study assessed the body composition and anthropometric characteristics of same Egyptian athletics. The study included male volleyball players (N= 30), weightlifters (N= 31), marathon runners (N= 32), football players (N= 29), 30general exercisers, and 30 nonathletes as a control group. The ages of the subjects ranged from 17 to 34 years. In the present study it appeared that the volleyball players were significantly taller and have longer body segments (upper limbs, hands and lower limbs lengths) than the other studied athletes and the control. In the present study volleyball players have mean value of weight , 67.95 kg. , height , 175.15 cm., upper limb length , 80.25 cm. hand length, 20.83 cm, lower limb length, 94.35 cm, foot length, 27.25 cm. percent body fat 11.04%, total body fat 7.77 kg. and lean body mass 59.42kg. |
