Abstract
The presented thesis comprises three chapters the first chapter is the introduction which includes a survey of the literature reports on the biological applications and significance of D glucuronic acid and its derivatives Oligosaccharide synthetic methods are also reviewed with some emphasis on the most common strategies employed in coupling reactions and the chemical synthesis of the basic monosaccharide building blocks. moreover the importance and chemical synthesis of trehalose and its analogues are cited.
