Abstract Protein efficiency ratios are determined for the protein of the different parts of offals as compared with meat protein. Feed efficiency ratios of the diets containing the different viscera protein sources are also determined. The results concerning legs as source of protein indicate the incapability of leg protein to promote tissue growth due to the incompleteness of such protein regarding the essential amino acids and needs, therefor, supplements by other protein sources or by the deficit amino acids. |
