Abstract Results obtained in the present work show that aspergillus fumigatus fresenius, as. Flavus link, as. Achraceus wilhelm and pen- chrysogenum thom reveal higher frequency and percentage of occurrence. These fungi can invade fungus-free grains and reduce their germination. Histopathological studies reveal that the mycelium of aspergillus fumigatus is present beneath and between grain wall. It causes great damage to alourone layer, starchy endosperum and the embryo. |
