Evaluation of the role of antibiotics in reduction of post-tonsillectomy morbidity were discussed in this study, A l00 patients aged 12-20 years, both genders all suffering of recurrent attacks of tonsillitis (more than five times per year). All patients were subjected to tonsillectomy. Fifty of the patients were given postoperative antibiotic and paracetamol for ten days after surgery. The other Fifty patients were given only paracetamol tablets.
