ABSTRACT
THE STUDY PROBLEM:
In the light of the review of literature, it is clear that there is an urgent need to study the professional values among the primary education teachers in the light of the current societal changes. The research problem was stated in the following questions:
1)What are the most important societal changes that affect the primary education teachers’ professional values?
2)How far are these professional values available among the primary education teachers in the light of the current societal changes? What are their priority in those teachers’ points of view?
3)Are the primary education teachers’ common professional values different according to gender, academic degree, specialization, experience and school type?
4)What is the suggested vision for developing the professional values among the primary education teachers?
STUDY HYPOTHESES:
1)There are no statistically significant differences at 0.01 in moral values among the primary education teachers, in respect of gender (male - female), academic degree (intermediate —high), specialization (science — arts — general), experience (low
— intermediate — high) and school type (governmental —private).
2)There are no statistically significant differences at 0.01 in social values among the primary education teachers, in respect

of gender, academic degree, specialization, experience and school type.
3)There are no statistically significant differences at 0.01 in academic and teaching values among the primary education teachers, in respect of gender, academic degree, specialization, experience and school type.
4)There are no statistically significant differences at 0.01 in leadership and administration values among the primary education teachers, in respect of gender, academic degree, specialization, experience and school type.
5)There are no statistically significant differences at 0.01 in organizational values among the primary education teachers, in respect of gender, academic degree, specialization, experience and school type.
6)There are no statistically significant differences at 0.01 in professional values system among the primary education teachers, in respect of gender, academic degree, specialization, experience and school type.
STUDY OBJECTIVES:
1, Defining the professional values that should be common among the primary education teachers.
2.Examining the common professional values among the primary education teachers.
3.Determining the impact of current societal changes on the
professional values among the primary education teachers. 4, Examining the agreement and disagreement among the
primary education teachers about the professional values

according to gender, academic degree, specialization, experience and school type .
5. Developing a suggested vision for developing the professional values among the primary education teachers.
- STUDY METHODOLOGY:
The present study followed the case study method which is the most appropriate one.
- STUDY TOOLS:
1-List of professional values among primary education teachers.
2-Professional values scale which identified them among the primary education teachers.
- STUDY LIMITATIONS:
> A random sample of primary education teachers in Qalyoubiya Governorate, from different specializations. The number of the sample was 765 male and female teachers.
> The professional values that are common among the primary education teachers in the light of the current societal changes.
- STUDY PROCEDURES:
1.The general framework of the study: Problem, Objectives, Method, Tools, Delimits, Terminology, and Procedures.
2.Professional values: Definition — characteristics — categories.
3.Professional values among the primary education teachers: Definition — significance — categories.
4.Current societal changes and their effects on the primary
education teachers’ professional values.
5.The field study
6.Interp,etation of the field study findings.
7.The suggested vision for developing the professional values
among the primary education teachers.
- STUDY FINDINGS:
First: Professional values among the primary education teachers: The social values were the most common ones among the study sample, next the moral values, the organizational values.
The academic and teaching values were the lowest common ones among the study sample, followed in order by the leadership and administration values.
Second: The value system among the study sample:
Some values were on the top among the primary education teachers such as: respect of others’ opinions, patience, commitment to laws and regulations, truth, respect of academic specialization, friendship, and cooperation.
Third: Study Hypotheses: The following are some the findings:
1-There were no statistically significant differences at 0.01 in moral values among the primary education teachers, in respect of gender, academic degree, and specialization.
2-There were no statistically significant differences at 0.01 in social values among the primary education teachers, in respect of gender, academic degree, specialization and school type.

3 There were no statistically significant differences at 0.01 in academic and teaching values among the primary education teachers, in respect of specialization, experience and school type.
4-There were no statistically significant differences at 0.01 in leadership and administration values among the primary education teachers, in respect of academic degree, specialization, experience and school type.
5-There were no statistically significant differences at 0.01 in organizational values among the primary education teachers, in respect of gender, academic degree, specialization and school
type.
6-There were no statistically significant differences at 0.01 in professional values system among the primary education teachers, in respect of specialization and school type.
