Abstract Mature apple fmits are subject to the attack with some postharvest pathogenic fungi during harvesting, handling, marketing and storage causing various fmit rots. Chemical control of those pathogens using fungicides posses risks to the human health and environment. Therefore the present work studied the effect of certain biocontrol agents for controlling these postharvest pathogens and consequently reducing fmit rots as well as extending the shelflife of apple fmits during storage. |
