Abstract
The area lies in the south eastern corner of the western desert of Egypt. it occupies the area between the river Nile in the east and longitude 31 12 in the west, and between latitudes 22 18 and 23 30 N. it includes about 1500 square KM. the magnetic anomalies show the central and western part to be of shallow basement.
