Abstract
The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of repeated local application of PRP on the bony regenerate formed by distraction osteogenesis. The hypothesis behind the use of PRP with DO is that the content of growth factors within the PRP might enhance bone formation during distraction osteogenesis allowing shortening total treatment time without affecting the formed bone quantity and quality.
