Abstract
The experiments were carried out at Al-Morabain, Kafr El-Sheikh Governorat during harvesting season of 97-1998. Two rice crop varieties (Giza 17 1, 177) were used.. The aim of the present study was to develope a threshing dnun in combine Claas Crop Tiger. And evaluate the developed comparing with the original. The main objectives of the present study were : I - To modify the threshing drum to suit rice harvesting and other cereal crop. 2- To determine the optimum operating conditions for both threshing drums (development drum and original drum). 3- To choose the most efficient and economic dnun to tl~reshri ce under local conditions. 4- To optimize the operating parameters, which affect the performance of combine devices. a) The total grain losses, ( % ). b) The husked grain, (%). C) The grain yield ( tlfed). d) Effective field capacity, (fedh). e) Performance efficiency, ( % ). f) Fuel consumption, (L/h). g) Cost Analysis . 11) Comparative value, (L.E/fed) The vuriables under study were as follows: 1 - Four level of grain moisture contents (22.2, 20.5, 18.6 and 16.2% for rice crop Giza, 177). And (four levels: 23.8, 20.4, 19.5, and 15.9% for rice crop Giza 171 ). 2- Four level of cylinder speeds 17.9 (760), 19.39 (825), 21.6 (920) and 24.33 (1 035) m/s (r.p.m). 3- Four level of Forward speeds (I .08 ,1.44 , 1.8 and 2.16 kdh). 4- Dr~mty pes (the developed drum and the original drum).
