Abstract
The presimmin(Diospyros kaki)is Nativa East Asia, most Likely China. It has been cultivated in the mediterranean basin for than a centuty(Morton,1987).World production is about 1,200,000 ton annually from an area of approxomately 238.000 ha. In Egypt the total fruitful area 1029 fedda with total production of 4271 ton.
