Abstract N-acetyl-B-D-glucosaminidase in both urine and amniotic fluid (NAG) is one of the suggested potentially useful enzymes . It is a hydrolytic enzyme . It is widely distributed in most mammalian tissues and fluids . High concentration are found in the lysosomal fraction of the proximal renal tubular cells, with a small amount in the microsomal fraction.. Estimation of both amniotic fluid NAG urinary NAG is improtant in diagnosis and preeclampsia. In this study, NAG urine have been estimated two times, one in the third trimester and the other 24-48 hours after labour for 30 patients and in their ammiotic fluids in the last 3 months of pregnancy. Tvs’enty p preeclamptic patients, ten mild preeclampsia and ten severe prclampsia compared with ten normal pregnancy females. A highly significant increase in both Amniotic fluid NAG the mean of urinary NAG and NAG/urine creatinine ratio in all preeclamptic patients (46,I gm/L-6.2Ogm/mrnol respectively) compared to control group (22.17 gm/L-2.03/mmoi respectively) . But a significant decrease in the mean of urine creatinine in all preeclamptic patients (9.15 mmol/L) compared to control group (11.01 mmol/L) |
