Silage also ma i~iade from the first cut of berseem wing 3 $% molasses with or without 28 % r i c e straw. A s it is known, the farmer does not save any of berseem from the firat cut as hay because of the inconvenient weather at that time for making hay, In summer, ailage was made from darawa (Fodder maize) with and without adding 0.5 % urea (on wet basis), urea was added as NPN to improve the feeding value of silage. |
