The general theme of this study deals primmiljr w i t h price analysis of basic f i e l d crops in A, H. E, In pursuit to t h i s object the study includes the following topics: The operetion of price system in resource allocaLion and income distribution - The nature and movements of agriculturel prices price movements 2nd relationships of basic field and vege%zble crops a t its different marketing channels in A, R. E* - Computation and appraisd of parity cnd f a i r prices of the basic crops. Analysis of crops price movements in the period 1950- 1975 reveals thet prices of most of the crops considered me subject to vzrrying range of amuzl fluctu~tions. Despite of the variations, crop prices showed a general rising trend a t different rates in the &cove mentioned period. For Cotton, the average fmrn price per Kentcr mounts t o about E. C. 18 2nd increzses mnualy at a rate of about P, T. 9 in the period 1950-1975.
