Abstract
This work was cxarried out at a farm in Santa district,Gharbia Governorate during the summer seasons of 1996 and 1997 on cucumber plants, amera II hybrid (monoecious-highly female). The main objective of this research was to study the effect of planting system and training on vegetative growth, flowering and fruiting yield, fruit quality and some chemical analysis of cucumber plants grown in the open field. A complete randomized blocks design with four replications was used. the area of a plot was 36 m for all treatments.
