Thus concern with development leads to concern w i t h people. this connection, Rural - Urban differences become a highly sigflificant subject for social studies. his study aims at identifying current differences between Hural and Urban residente. This may uncover variables to be manipulated in order to achieve aucceasfully development objectives. Six amas are outlined to be the scope of this study. These are: personal, housing, paycilologicd, social, communication and cul%ural aspects. Sever& variables are specified in each of these are@. The f ie2d work of this awdy is conducted b Kafr lsl-Sheikh governorate. The Urban a~pwhas drawn from B1-Gsha neighborhood of the city of Kafr El-Shefkh, !phg Rurd sample was drcawn from the two Rural communities of hl-MurabiU and E;1-Helmia. El-uurabiin ia a relatively large Rural comuunity located 10 kilometers away from the city of Hafr bl-Sheikh, B1-Helmia is a relatively small rural community located 60 kilometers away from Kafp ~1- Shew.
