Abstract Interferometric methods are applied to the study of the optical properties of synthetic fibres with radial differences in orientation. Four independent techniques are used for this purpose. There are 1)the diffraction patterns for these fibres using a He-Ne laser beam, 2)the multiple beam interferometric technique of the Fizeau type, 3)the two beam interference technique using Pluta microscope and 4)the interferometric method, referred to as variable wavelength interferometry (VAWI-1 & VAWI-2)which was presented by Pluta. |
