Abstract The present study aims at reaching a better understanding of the mafic and ultramafic rocks in Southern Sinai, Egypt. The area selected for this study (about 1000sq. km) lies north of W. Feiran and is delineated between latitudes 28º43’ 35” : 28° 56’ 10” and longitudes 33° 28’ 40” : 33° 42’ 30” where these rocks are represented and well developed. The goal of this work was a ccomplished through field, petrographic and geochemical studies. Field work - including mapping of the area in concern, field observation and relations of the different rock units cropping out in this area was carried out during seven field trips lasted for eight weeks. |
