Abstract The present work deals with the petrography, petrochemistry, mineral chemistry and tectonic environments of some granitoid massifs from the Eastern Desert of Egypt. Samples were collected from three main areas namely the area around Bair Um Khariga, Ria El - Garra area and the area around Gabal El - Shayib. Seventy two samples representing the rock groups under investigation, were studied petrographically and their geochemical characters and petrogenesis were discussed based on data of all major elements as well as eight trace elements. |
