Abstract
This study was conducted at the Agricultural Research Station, Faculty of Agriculture, Mansoura University on feeding male Rahmani lambs immediately after vanning at average l lve b o d y reign 1I1 t O.L. Twenty lambs near chivied into 4 groups (2 feely levels and 2 vitamin A levels) as follows: group 1: High feeding level (IJ<.C, 1575 recomriencetons for Emintensnce and with) and hight vitamin A level (5 times the recommended AHC, 1980)., group 2: I-High fleecing level (as in group l)with Lvov vitamin A level (recommended level only). group 3: Low feeding level (2/3 the recommended TDN used in croups 1 and 2) with high vitamin A level. group 4: Low feeding level with low vitamin A level. The animals were f ecl on concentrate mixture composed of white corn, soybean meal, minerals and vitamins. The roughage was Ulcer treated rice straw stok13d fo1: one month period. The animals were kept on the experiment until they recheck a slaughter weigh of 35 - 40 Kg.
