Abstract
Dature stramonium L. plants,grow in Egypt as one of the important medicinal plants. Therefore an increase in the yield of plant organ and consequantly the alkaloid content is most needed.For this purpose the effect of some growth regulation (Alar, CCC, GA3 and IAA) at different concentrations, number of sprays, times of application on plant growth and total alkaloid content was studied . In addition , the anatomical structure of some aerial parts of the plant as affected by these growth substances was investigated . Chlorophylls and carotenoids were also determined in the levees of treated plants.
Three experiments were conducted at pflanzenphysiologisches institute, Gottingen, univ., West Germany (FRG) during the years of 1982-1983. In addition, the fourth experiment was carried on at Mansura, university, Experimental station during, 1984.
The most important results achieved are summarized as follows :

1. The double application were more more effective on plant growth than the single or the three sprays.
