Abstract
The present study comprised (20) cases (15) males d (5) femal es with chronic renal failure, selected trom in-patients at Mansoura University Hospital. ’” The pati,ents were divided :ito two groups, group- ,A (8 oases) who were subjected to haemodialysis for the j’ first t:ime and group-B (12 cases) who were already on intenance haemodialysis. All patients underwent routine clinical examination :radiological exam.ina tion, el $ctrocardiographic tracing and other laboratory investigations before and one month i,after regul ar haemQdialysis. f The heart rate was not significantly changed after fdialYSis in either groups (P > 0.05) while the mean t . [arterial pressure decreased significantly after dialysis , ~~. lin group-A (P < 0’.01) and was not significantly changed in group-B (P > 0.05). The average decrease in body weight after dialysis was not significantly different in the two groups (P > 0.05). A marked reduction in congestive changes as jUdged /by a decreased incidenoe percentage of signs of congestive
