Abstract The present study was conducted to evaluate the histologic responses of the exposed pulp of dog teeth to two adhesive systems with two different solvents (Single Bond and Prime&BondNT), with either direct etching of the exposure site or not, and compare the sealing ability of the two adhesives against bacterial penetration. The results of this study showed no significant difference between any experimental group and its control..The pulp reaction in the experimental groups was charecterized by initial severe to moderate inflammatory response that subsided throughout the follow up periods. The pulpal response in the control tended to be milder than the experimental but not significant.Reparative dentin could not be detected untill 90 days postoperatively in both the experimental and control groups and by 180 days it was present in all examined teeth. |
