Abstract
Banana is one of the most popular and favorite fruits grown in Egypt. It is considered the green gold of many African countries. Hindi is one of the most cultivar grown under the local conditions. Since, it occupied about 90% of total area planted with banana, while 10% being of Maghrabi. The total acrage reached about 24085 feddans with a total annual production about 278097 tons accoedind to the last statistic of Ministry of Agriculture 1988.
