Abstract There is some controversy about the time of sam¬pling for investigations regarding blood picture, er¬ythro~yte sedimentation rate, blood urea, serum crea¬tinine and serum uric acid. The aim of this work was to evaluate the effect of ordinary food intake on these haematological and biochemical parameters. Th~ material of this study comprised 40 normal adults, 20 were males and 20 were females with age ranged between 17-48 years, categorised into 4 groups: g~2}}E __ !: In which blood picture, ESR, blood urea, serum creatinine and serum uric acid were done fasting, % hour and 1 hour after ordinary breakfast. g~.2~E_f!
