The aim of this work was to assess the effect of subconjunctival 5-Fu on the outcome of trabeculectomy • A total of 53 glaucomatous eyes of 43 patients were included in this work • Subscleral trabeculectomy was performed for each patients. The eyes were divided into three groups. In the frist group (the control). Only subscleral trabeculectomy was performed for each patients. In the second group (intraoperative 5-Fu therapy), subscleral trabeculectomy with intra-operative subconjunctival application 5 Fu was performed for each patients. In the third group (post-operative 5-Fu therapy), subscleral trabeculectomy with post-operative subcojunctival injection of 35 mg 5-Fu was performed for each patient , each patients underwent ocular tension measurement and slit lamp examination at frequent intervalsf the aim of slit lamp examination was to detect the. |
