Abstract
Alpha-1- antitypsin is a glycoprotein in human serum, it is a major protease inhibitor, it is synthesized by the hepatocytes. The aim of this work is a trial to get if any relation between the serum alpha-1- antitrypsin and diabetes mellitus. The material of this reseach comprised 127 subjects, divided into a control group comprised 15 healthy subjects 4 females and 11 males with age ranged from 45-60 years. and group of patients comprised112 patients.
