Abstract This investigation was conducted at second Belkas farm, Dakahlia governorate, Egypt during 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 seasons to study the effect of different levels of nitrogen and potassium fertilizers on sugar beet yield and juice quality. The experimental design was carried out in a complete randomized block design. N-as ammonium nitrate (33.5%N) was added at four rates (60-80-100-120 kg. N/fed). K-as potassium sulphate (48% K2O) was added at three rates (0-24-48 kg. K2O / fed.) . Sugar beet cultivars (Ras Poly) was cultivated on November 8 and 11 in the first and second seasons .All the practical operations such as thinning, hoeing, irrigation and pesticides were performed according to conventional local recommendations of the ministry of Agriculture, Egypt.
